HELP SAVE CHILDREN
Ebola Outbreak in DRC: Help Save Children
A devastating new Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) has escalated rapidly, with over 3600 confirmed cases and over 1580 confirmed deaths as of July 30. Tragically, the victims include newborn babies and children, with 57.8% case fatality rate among children under 5.
Since the outbreak began, Save the Children, working alongside our partners, has provided life-saving support to nearly 20,700 children and their families.
Your support can save lives and alleviate children’s suffering by providing:
- Support safe and functioning health facilities with PPE, infection control, and training up staff
- Provide life-saving information and hygiene kits to communities to prevent transmission;
- Deliver life-saving aid to impacted children and families.
Why trust Save the Children?
We have been on the ground in the DRC since 1994. In 2025 alone, we have reached 1.7 million children with our health and nutrition programmes. Alongside 13 trusted local partners, we are uniquely equipped to turn your generosity into immediate, life-saving action.
In response to current Ebola crisis, we have launched emergency response focused on health facilities and recovery need. This includes distribution of chlorine, water, sanitation and other basic supplies to health facilities, as well as providing affected households and children with critical nutrition and protection support.
We stand ready to scale up our response with your support.
