Since 2020, Save the Children Hong Kong has partnered with NGOs to provide psychological and social support to vulnerable children, families, and communities. Through parenting groups and children’s recreational and educational activities, we improve mental well-being and help children heal from psychological distress, while also raising public awareness of children’s mental health issues.

Who We Serve

The project will partner with a professional expressive arts team from the University of Hong Kong (HKU) to develop an expressive arts curriculum and train frontline workers on expressive arts through train-the-trainer approach.

These trained workers will then deliver expressive art-based activities to vulnerable children at P4-6 who are at risk of social and emotional developmental delays due to COVID-related social isolation and lack of resources.

These activities, incorporating visual arts, music, and storytelling, can help children improve their social-emotional competencies, positive thinking, and mental well-being.
