INTENSE FIGHTING HAS PUT THOUSANDS OF CHILDREN AT RISK

Heavy fighting has erupted in the capital of Sudan.

This all comes as Sudan was already facing its worst-ever humanitarian crisis. Millions of children urgently need humanitarian support.

Children are at huge risk of being caught in the crossfire, exposing them to physical harm and immense psychological distress.

Shortages of food, water, medicines and fuel continue and millions of children have no access to education.

The healthcare system is close to collapse, leaving millions without access to essential services.

Save the Children has been working in Sudan since 1983, providing health, nutrition, education, child protection and food security and livelihoods support.

We’re supporting families who have been uprooted from their homes, distributing essential hygiene items, running mobile health clinics and setting up child protection activities.

We’re also providing mental health and psychosocial support, and well as essential supplies to families.

We are working with partners to ensure that critical supplies can urgently reach children and families in need.
