Anne Marie is raising her 4 children alone, battling relentless hunger. Her children endure constant starvation, and the family is at risk of malnutrition and illness. Her youngest daughter, 13-month-old Celine, is fighting for her life, struggling with severe anemia and convulsions.

Children received free malnutrition treatment from our team, and Celine was transferred to hospital for a life-saving blood transfusion.

1-year-old Antho and 10-year-old Marie live with their aunt, struggling to survive without access to nutritious food. Antho is severely malnourished, rapidly losing weight. Marie takes on the role of caregiver, feeding him and bearing the responsibility of ensuring his survival. 

Helped by our team, Marie is able to care for her brother Antho, feeding him high-nutrient peanut paste to restore his health.

In East Africa, devastating droughts have destroyed pastoral communities, wiping out food supplies, and livelihoods. Ayan lost all her livestock, leaving her unable to feed her 8-month-old son, Hamdan. Malnutrition weakened Hamdan, leading to pneumonia and bringing him to the brink of death.

With urgent treatment provided by Save the Children and partners, Hamdan regained weight and now beams with a bright smile.
