Our Innovative Approaches to Keep Babies and Mothers Healthy:
The doctors advised Jasmine to try Kangaroo Mother Care (KMC) — intervention for preterm babies through skin-to-skin contact and breastfeeding—to help stabilize temperature, breathing, and brain activity, while reducing the risk of infection.
We provided training for local healthcare workers and equipment such as hospital beds, heaters, infection prevention and control materials. Thanks to this support, both Bravin and his twin sister Hadassa gradually grew healthier.
Through our support, midwives are trained and equipped to ensure safe deliveries even in the harshest conditions.
Mamotar Tori – satellite clinic on boat transports midwives and medical supplies to communities living on the river. The boat is equipped with oxygen and medical kits for use both onboard and in community care, and can also function as a specialist maternity boat, transporting women to hospitals for emergency procedures like c-sections.
