HELP US SAVE
What did they lose?
Access to safe food and water: Hunger puts children at risk of acute malnutrition, dehydration, and disease—conditions that can tragically lead to death.
The opportunity to learn and play: Disasters often disrupt children’s education—not only halting their learning, but also depriving them of essential childhood experiences such as social interaction, play, and emotional development.
Their sense of safety and well-being: Children caught in disaster face life-altering changes that may leave psychological scars and overwhelming fear. Even after losing their homes or loved ones, many do not receive timely mental health support to help them cope and recover.
Protection from harm: Children may face direct threats such as abuse, exploitation, or armed violence. With families often overwhelmed or displaced by the crisis, children are left without adequate protection.
Ensure their health and safety: We provide essential supplies—clean water, food, and protective clothing—to meet the urgent survival needs of children and their families. At the same time, our medical support helps children suffering from illness, as well as mothers and infants, receive the critical care and relief they deserve.
Provide learning opportunities: We set up Child-Friendly Spaces to protect and support children. These safe environments allow children to play, learn, and connect with others while receiving the emotional and developmental care they need—ensuring their childhood isn’t lost to disaster.
Support their resilience and livelihoods: Family is one of the most vital foundations for a child’s growth. We support families with livelihood assistance and temporary shelter, helping them regain stability so that parents can provide nourishing meals, safety, and the care their children need to thrive.
Protect their mental well-being: Psychological trauma can profoundly shape a child’s future. That’s why we provide Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS), partnering with schools and mental health professionals to deliver art-based activities and emotional care for children affected by crisis.
