CHALLENGES FACED BY CHILDREN
25 out of every 1,000 babies born in Nepal die before their first birthday. More than one-third of children lack access to sufficient financial resources, education, and/or infrastructure to meet their basic needs. Meanwhile, more than 80% of children under the age of 14 experience psychological aggression or physical punishment, putting their physical and emotional well-being at risk.

Provide children with access to high-quality and inclusive early childhood care and education, in close partnership with the government. Promote climate-smart agricultural practices with climate-friendly technologies to build climate resilience in the most vulnerable communities.

Child Protection
Engage children and young people to address harmful social norms such as child marriage and violence against children, through dialogues and discussions with the local authorities and other influential stakeholders.

Disaster Response
Work with local partners to provide immediate, life-saving assistance and essential items to children and families affected by disasters, such as earthquakes, landslides, and floods.
