CHALLENGES FACED BY CHILDREN
Due to rapid economic development, there are more than 41.8 million rural left-behind children and 71.1 million urban migrant children in China as of 2020, who are often unable to access the healthcare, education, and protection they need.

Our programmes

Health and nutrition
Train health workers, parents and caregivers to meet their children’s nutritional needs. Upgrade infant feeding facilities and health services to better care for newborns.

Poverty
Provide early childhood development support to migrant children aged 0-6, children in rural areas and their caregivers. Offer employment skills training and career counselling services for young people to support their career development.

Child Protection
Support the establishment and strengthening of child protection mechanisms at the community, district, and national level to ensure children are safe from abuse, exploitation, neglect, and other types of violence.

Disaster Response
Provide essential relief items to children and families affected by disasters, such as the 2024 Gansu earthquake, in partnership with donors including Disaster Relief Fund of the HKSAR Government.
