As an organisation dedicated to empowering children, we are committed to responding swiftly to support affected children and nearby schools. Working closely with our school partners in Tai Po, we are identifying the immediate needs of children and families—and doing everything we can to assist, including:
- Distributing plush toys to students in Tai Po kindergartens to bring instant comfort
- Providing long‑term support for children’s mental and emotional health through school‑based programmes .
- Through the Healing Heart and Mind programme designed for primary school students, we aim to help children in Tai Po strengthen resilience, heal from psychological distress, and provide long‑term support for children’s mental and emotional health.
- Distributing stationery supplies donated by students from Kellett School (Kowloon Bay campus) to affected schools.
- Providing HK$10,000 per affected student to cover school uniforms, books, schoolbags and other education essentials. These funds will be distributed via schools to those in need, alleviating parents’ financial pressure and addressing immediate concerns. This ensures no child misses out on education because of the fire.
- Working with Hong Kong Shue Yan University, the Department of Counselling and Psychology to provide counselling to affected children, helping them recover from trauma and rekindle hope.
Support now to enable us to reach more children in need. We are already implementing the Programme in a primary school next to the blaze zone and would like to extend it to more schools in Tai Po to reach more children. Since 2018, we have been empowering children in Hong Kong, helping them navigate stress and trauma.
Your donations will be channelled to our Hong Kong Programme Fund and used to empower children and their families in need, enhancing their mental health.
