Message from Committee Chair – John Kim

Save The Children and its Golf Committee would like to extend our warm welcome and heart-felt gratitude to all of you joining and sponsoring us at this year’s Golf Tournament.

Under the backdrop of challenging global economy, underprivileged families in our city are going through one of most difficult times, a condition that renders the children’s wellbeing vulnerable and easily compromised.  We at Save The Children Hong Kong are committed to assisting these families and their children, and we are excited to have an opportunity to make a difference, together with you.

As communicated with you previously, this year’s event will support Save the Children Hong Kong’s programmes that are designed to promote emotional and physical wellbeing of children in low-income districts with means of sport and art.

Specifically, our Play to Thrive project is a football coaching programme for children aged 6 to 11 designed to nurture and develop their physical ability, team spirit and endurance; our Healing Heart and Mind project leverages visual arts, music, and drama to teach children aged 9 to 11 about self-awareness and emotional regulation.

We firmly believe these programmes will help create better mental and physical foundations for the children we serve and open up opportunities for a bright future.

As a part of the Golf Tournament, we also invite you and your friends to participate in the auctions, which would further support the children of our community. Kindly visit our online auction.
